Thursday's Shoot

It's been a while, but here I am...
Last week's photoshoot went amazing! My client/model is a beautiful mother of twin boys. We started the day in the studio and finished out the shoot in the loft over the barn. The setting was perfect, but the temperature was a brisk 48ish degrees, and quickly falling. Our girl was a trooper! We kept her in heated blankets and took the pictures as quickly as I could...

Jen did such a great job, we decided to book another session! Stay tuned...

Here we are again! The start of yet another exciting week!! Spending my Monday shopping for props for an upcoming photoshoot, which will be taking place in the loft of my 'very old' barn....very psyched!! Then, meeting up with a very special friend, who I always leave inspired and full of new ideas!!

Make sure your camera is packed and with you at all times! You never know when that MOMENT will be right there in front of you!!

...and btw YOU, I DID have A camera with me...no, it wasn't mine...I borrowed one from a friend.

So, what turns you on?! Think WAY outside the proverbial box! Think; texture, space-both positive and negative, shape, line, etc...Opposites DO attract!

Grab your camera and try it out! The results will leave you satisfied yet wanting more...Once you've opened up your mind and creativity, you'll realize it's addicting. The artistic possibilities are endless!!

Hello loyal fans...I've been away for a short time while my mom and step-dad were in town. While they were here mom and I had the chance to have an impromptu photo shoot! Take a look at my "hot mama!!" I'll post some more of her pix tomorrow when I get home. I'm currently in Memphis at a workshop...No time to visit Graceland :((

The weather is starting to cool down, and you know what that means for us folks that actually GET a change of seasons...The leaves will soon be bright orange and deep red. Keep your camera with you at all times!! The contrast between the bright colored leaves and a clear blue sky is so crisp and vibrant! Stop your car, get out and lay down on the ground if you have to....of course, be safe! What us photogs will do for that perfect pic! LOL

If you need to bounce light and you don't have a reflector, head over to your local craft store and buy some metallic card stock...I've bought silver, but they have different colors...

Do you have something to share? What basic household item have you had to use to "make it work?"
